Commercial effects of aid?

Normally the goals of providing development assistance have to do with poverty reduction and sustainable development - but ever more often donors add goals for their national private sector to benefit commercially as well. However, little is known about if and how such commercial benefits actually materialise in practice. This brief sums up findings from the few evaluations that have addressed this question in Danish aid
